About Me
My poems, fiction, and nonfiction have appeared in journals, such as Crab Orchard Review, Rhino, CaKe, and Provincetown Arts. I have published two poetry chapbooks: Blues for a Pretty Girl (Finishing Line Press 2005) and Voice Lessons (Plan B Press, 2011). I hold an MFA from American University, where I was editor-in-chief of the literary journal Folio.
The most important thing I’ve done is actively get into a relationship with Jesus Christ. I worship at Advance Church at the AFI Silver Spring.
I’ve lived in Queens, Boston, Chicago, Provincetown, Washington, DC, Takoma Park, and Silver Spring. My aesthetic is a little Bloomsbury, a little Tony Duquette, a little Paris apartment ala Loulou de la Falaise. I buy way too many magazines, and I’d single-handledly keep the industry afloat if I didn’t have to pay rent and occasionally eat and pay back all those nice people who generously gave me credit cards. I love anything that sparkles, especially writing. My true enthusiasms are few but they make me hyperenthusiastic! I love Matt Dillon, George Clooney, and Bradley Cooper.
Paulette!
Hope all’s going well for you- you sound great!
Having the ladies over for soup night this sunday- they all remember fondly the time you read us poetry so, if by any chance you’re free, we’d all love to see you. 13 grant ave 202 258 0788
