Read it and eat!
Sometimes even The Home Beete! wants to spend a little time away from home. One recent outing? Making like a lady who lunches at Eatonville, Tony Shallal’s new restaurant at 2121 14th St., NW right across the street from Busboys and Poets. Think funky (a host of colorful murals, including a wall-sized Eatonville, Florida postcard on the way to the bathroom); think elegant (crystal chandeliers, a mix of bistro tables and booths just like in your favorite French restaurant).
And yes, my dear out-of-town readers, I did just give you one more reason to set your sights (pun intended) on the nation’s capital.
Pix are of my lunch: (from top) Mint Julep, Fried Green Tomato Po Boy (with seasoned fries and coleslaw), Raspberry Peach Cobbler with a bite taken out of it because I couldn’t wait till after I took the photo!
